Lucca Ballara - Don Giovanni (The Three Little Pigs)
A versatile vocalist, originally from Greenwich Borough, England, Lucca pursued music throughout his time at school and now at Canterbury University. Getting involved in musical theatre productions including The Drowsy Chaperone playing Mr Feldzeig and Parade by Jason Robert Brown were some of the most memorial moments from high school. Last year he took the lead role of Evan in a concert performance of Pasek and Paul’s musical Dear Evan Hansen at the University of Canterbury. Collaborating with an amazing team of singers and instrumentalists was such a joy.
At the end of high school Lucca completed his ATCL Diploma in Musical Theatre and his Grade 8 Classical Singing Exam. In 2021 he was accepted as a B.Mus. undergraduate in performance singing at Canterbury University. He was awarded the Judith Pownall and Jill Leigh undergraduate scholarship and has enjoyed the wide array of musical opportunities offered to him from this creative, musical community. Lucca had previously attended Sole Music Academy under the guidance of Sasha Vee while developing his singer-songwriting skills. He worked on solo songs as well as composing in groups, sharing ideas and enjoying the collaboration process. Lucca has recently become a singing and guitar teacher and he is enjoying helping others discover their musical potential.
