Tara Martin as Ghost of Christmas Past

Tara holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Performance from Southwest Texas State University, and has extensive performance experience in the USA, the UK, and NZ in opera, musical theatre, and theatre.

Her performance credits in the US include Cinderella in Into the Woods, Cousin Hebe in HMS Pinafore, Antonia in Man of La Mancha, and Pickalittle Lady in The Music Man, and in 2002 she performed in the UK in Oklahoma before coming to New Zealand.

Her New Zealand theatre credits include the role of The Monitress and cover Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica & Elegies (Toi Toi Opera), The Phantom of the Opera, Evita, An Evening of Rodgers and Hammerstein Classics, Broadway Hitmen, and Les Misérables (Showbiz Christchurch), Footprints a Bicultural Opera (Free Theatre), Fay in Chorus of Disapproval, and Merry Wives of Windsor (Repertory Theatre), understudy for Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors (Atlas Voices), A Little Night Music (Enchanting Productions), Acis and Galatea, Don Giovanni, La Bohème, La Traviata, Carmen, Tosca, The Marriage of Figaro, Cosi fan tutte, and Le Comte Ory (NZ Opera).

For many years she has appeared in concert as a soloist with the New Zealand Association of Artist Doctors Orchestra, and fits performing around her busy career as Allied Health Clinical Coordinator (Kaiāwhina/Assistant Team) for Te Whatu Ora – Waitaha Canterbury.
