Iona Taylor - Second Alms Sister

Iona Taylor is a 19 year old mezzo-soprano, currently taking a gap year after high school. In 2019, Iona attended the New Zealand Singing School and this year is a member of the New Zealand Opera Chorus.

In addition to singing, Iona is playing the bass drum for the Canterbury Caledonian Society pipe band, having won the South Island Drumming Open Bass category for the last two years. In 2018, she travelled with the Saint Andrew's College A Pipe Band to Scotland, placing 2nd in the World Juvenile Grade. Iona has also been playing the harp for the past 8 years and was the principal harpist for the NZ Secondary Schools Symphony Orchestra in 2019.
