Matilda Wickbom - First Lay Sister (Suor Angelica) & Lucretia (Elegies)

Since graduating from the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in 2017, soprano Matilda has been involved in numerous productions of opera and musical theatre. She attended the New Zealand Opera School in 2019, and has been a member of the Freemasons Opera Chorus of New Zealand Opera since 2018, performing in NZO’s productions of Tosca (2018), Trial By Jury (2018), and The Barber of Seville (2019). Matilda is also a member of The Opera Club, Christchurch and has been performing with them regularly since 2018.

Additional theatre credits include performing as a nun in the London Palladium Production of The Sound of Music on their tour through NZ from South Africa (2014), Showbiz Christchurch’s production of Les Misérables (2018), and Blackboard Theatre Collective’s productions He Says She Says (2018 and 2019), and The Bechdel Test (2019).
